GENERAL SUMMARY: We are looking for experienced Upfitters + Welders to join our Shawano, WI team.  Working as a team you will be responsible for the assembling and mounting of box trucks.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Perform electrical wiring tasks on vehicles, i.e. front to rear lights, camera sensors, lift gates, and etc. 
• Install liftgates, ramps, and platforms 
• Welding experience with MIG, stick, and aluminum including making clean lines and cuts when welding, operate manual and automated welding units and equipment, weld in flat and vertical plans 
• Reading blueprints and welding symbols 
• Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding  
• Operation of equipment such as saws, pneumatic and hand tools
• Perform basic math, read tape measure, and enter information into a computer
• Perform safety and quality checks
• Effectively and accurately use VMI, Kanban cards, material withdrawal forms, stock, fabricated, and special-order parts so inventory counts are correct
• Must be able to pass a weld test 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Prefer manufacturing  and welding experience or certification
• Prefer High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Automotive service experience a plus
• Basic experience with hand tools
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
