Marmon is now seeking a dynamic and experienced University Relations Program Manager to lead our University Relations and Intern Program within our decentralized organization comprised of 11 groups and 140+ business units. This role is pivotal in fostering strategic partnerships with universities, managing intern programs, and driving the conversion of interns into full-time employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, effective communication, reporting, analysis and relationship building across a large organization.management and technical. Maintains relationships with external search companies. Analyzes effectiveness of recruitment techniques. Prepares reports on candidates. Handles complex assignments and provides guidance to less experienced recruiting staff. Role typically requires more than 5 years of experience.

What You'll Do:

Program Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive University Relations and Intern Program strategy that aligns with the company's business needs and goals
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key universities to support talent acquisition and development.

Effective Communication:

  • Communicate the program's goals, objectives, and benefits to internal stakeholders, university partners, and potential candidates
  • Create and deliver presentations, reports, and updates to senior leadership and other relevant parties

Process and Tactical Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of the intern program, including recruitment, onboarding, project assignments, career fair and conference scheduling and coordination, event management, mentorship, and evaluations
  • Ensure the program's processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with best practices
  • Manage the logistics of career fairs, conferences, campus events, summer intern programming, virtual hiring events and other recruitment activities

Driving ROI and Conversion:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive the conversion of interns to full-time employees
  • Track and analyze program metrics to measure success and identify and communicate areas for improvement
  • Foster developmental relationships with interns to enhance their experience and increase retention rates

Collaboration and Relationship Building:

  • Work closely with various key stakeholders, functional departments, groups, and business units, to ensure the program meets the talent needs for each participating company
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with university career services, faculty, and student organizations

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, branding, tools and resources used in university relations and intern programs
  • Continuously seek feedback from stakeholders and participants to improve the program

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven (minimum 5-7 years experience) experience in university relations, talent acquisition, or program management within a large organization
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a decentralized environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in a similar role within a large, decentralized organization preferred
  • Workday experience also strongly desired
  • Ability to regularly travel 30% of the time and travel between 50-60% of the time during fall and spring campus recruiting seasons
