Position Overview

Step into a key leadership role with Shaw Industries, where you will lead a 1st shift team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, and performance. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Plant Leadership, Human Resources, and all team members to ensure smooth operations, effective communication, and ongoing development of the team.

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will guide and support your team through coaching, performance management, and problem-solving while developing a strong understanding of tufting processes and manufacturing equipment. Success in this role comes from developing people, driving results, and creating an environment where teams operate safely and efficiently.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead a 1st shift manufacturing team to produce quality carpet tile in an accident-free environment
• Partner with Plant Management, Human Resources, and team members to support daily operations and team success
• Act as a facilitator and coach, helping associates improve how they work together to achieve better results
• Manage group and one-to-one discussions to provide feedback, set expectations, and drive accountability
• Apply coaching, performance management, and corrective action when necessary
• Communicate clear goals and direction to align team performance with plant objectives
• Drive a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement
• Support and lead efforts to improve team performance and operational results
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of carpet manufacturing processes, tufting operations, and equipment
• Foster a culture of teamwork, inclusion, and accountability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED with leadership experience
• Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Leadership experience within the most recent 5 years
• Experience in tufting, flooring, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
