Job: 830 Department: Tube Laser
Job Title: Tube Laser Operator Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor
General Job Summary:
In addition to performing laser operation, ensures jobs are set-up to meet MPCD/customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable

· Understands and follows all applicable safety policies and procedures.
· With Manufacturing Supervisor, schedule daily/weekly workload.
· Download part program into machine controller.
· Ability to perform adjustments of the tube laser to remedy slag, burn through, burrs, and un-desirable
conditions.
· Utilizes hand instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gage) to perform first piece/blue tag
inspections.
· Obtains inspection approval for each job.
· Works with Engineering to resolve problems and production issues.
· Train new Associates on equipment operation, department processes and procedures.
· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic errors with the operation of the tube laser.
· May be required to work/assist Maintenance with issues outside of basic errors/issues.
· Ability to successfully load material and record production in Plex.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Education Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-3 years related experience or training
One year certificate from college or technical school
preferred or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Computer Skills:
None
Other Requirements:
Ability to use quality measurement devices such as micrometer, verniers, calipers height gauges.
Language Skills:
Intermediate Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak
effectively before groups of customers or Associates of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,
oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.
