Maintenance Mechanic
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains ALL shop equipment, large or small.
- Familiar with working from PM software.
- Responsible for all annual inspections required per OSHA. (Scheduling, reporting and follow ups)
- Create and maintain all equipment files.
- Make recommendations to improve shop equipment and procedures for maintenance program.
- Daily inspections of forklifts, trucks, and overhead cranes. Quarterly inspection program for electrical shop tools, drop cords and lights.
- Monthly inspections as required (i.e.. Fire extinguishers)
- Routine building maintenance and repairs
- Assists in environmental collections for 3rd party analysis and reporting.
- Must be able to work at 40' heights
Required Qualifications/ Experience
- Minimum 5 year equipment maintenance experience desired
- Experience in maintaining, repairing and a working knowledge of welding equipment
- Experience in maintaining, repairing and a working with electrical and hydraulic equipment
- Good communication skills – This position will require the candidate to regularly work with Operations and Production management, along with Operations personnel to solve problems and make necessary repairs
- Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Suite; outlook, word, excel)
- Knowledge and practice of safety standards such as Lock out/ Tag Out, OSHA requirements, etc.
- This position requires a self-starter – someone who is proactive in complying with Preventative Maintenance schedule, identifying issues and quick to respond to necessary repairs.
