About the Role
As a CDL A Oilfield Driver, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles and the timely transportation of goods and materials to designated locations.
Your commitment to safety, compliance, and professional driving will directly support reliable field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles as required
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Report vehicle defects, maintenance concerns, and safety issues promptly
- Transport loads safely and efficiently to designated locations
- Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions
- Maintain accurate logs, trip sheets, and required transportation documentation
- Follow all company safety procedures, including PPE requirements and hazard-reporting protocols
- Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, and field personnel regarding load status, route changes, and operational issues
- Keep vehicles clean, secure, organized, and ready for operation
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A with no restrictions
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Strong, safe driving record meeting company and insurance requirements
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe commercial driving practices
- Strong defensive driving and situational awareness
- Ability to work a 15 days on / 6 days off rotation
- Willingness to work long hours and varying start times when operationally required
- Ability to work safely in changing road, weather, and field conditions
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow detailed instructions
Preferred Experience
- Previous oilfield, oil & gas, construction, or industrial driving experience
- Familiarity with Midland, TX and surrounding regional routes
- Experience transporting time-sensitive or high-value loads
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify potential vehicle issues
- Formal defensive driving or driver safety training
