JOB DESCRIPTION (Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations)

Summary/Objective
Load, secure, and deliver or pick up plastic injection molds using fleet of trucks.

Essential Functions

1. Transport plastic injection molds to and from customer facilities
2. Responsible using cranes, hoists, and forklifts to load molds onto trucks
3. Responsible for using chains to secure the load on the truck
4. Responsible for performing pre-trip checks for mechanical items and safety issues prior to leaving on scheduled truck run
5. Responsible for using E-Logs to record drive time and rest breaks
6. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
7. Responsible for complying with Federal Motor Carrier Laws and Regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
8. Responsible for communicating and coordinating with dispatcher.
9. Maintain clean work area (including inside & outside of trucks)

Requirements 

1. High School Diploma (or equivalent)
2. Minimum 23 years of age
3. Class A CDL
4. Manual Transmission Endorsement
5. Current DOT Physical
6. Minimum of 3 years recent experience of commercial driving; Flatbed experience preferred
7. Moderate computer skills.
8. Willing to go on team trips occasionally

1. Supervisory Responsibility
   This is a support position.

   Work Environment
   Drives a truck most of the time.  Some time will be spent loading, unloading, and cleaning trucks while inside.

   Physical Demands
   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

   Must be able to sit for long periods of time.  Able to lift 50 lbs.  Must be able to reach, bend, and stretch with arms and hands.  Twisting and bending required.

   Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
   Assigned workdays are Monday thru Friday. Hours will vary each day depending on workload and assigned route.  Will be required to be on-call every 5th weekend.  Must be flexible.

2. Minimum 23 years of age
3. Class A CDL

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. Pass pre-employment DOT drug screen.

2. Pass pre-employment driving test.
