Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, safety-first CDL-B Truck Driver to join our trucking team. Operating out of our Chelmsford facility, this position is a valued member of our shipping and receiving operations, handling local vehicle operations to position and move trucks between our facilities and customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Safe Driving & Transport: Operate company-owned trucks to deliver, pick up, and relocate products and materials while strictly complying with all truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route, parking, etc.).
  • Material Handling: Load materials onto the truck by hand or forklift, maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions, and unload incoming deliveries into the warehouse.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform required before, during, and after-operation "user maintenance" and maintain all property in excellent condition.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all internal and external safety requirements, wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain all required certifications required by the DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs.
  • Reporting & Collaboration: Report any defects, accidents, violations, or injuries immediately, meet all delivery schedules, and support Plant Shipping/Receiving Management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Licensing & Compliance: Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-B), a clean driving record, and a valid DOT Health Card.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 additional year of experience as a truck driver.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Core Skills: Ability to read, write, and understand English; basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division); and basic computer skills.
  • Adaptability: Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing weather conditions to remain safe and compliant on the road.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to move and lift up to 50 pounds; traverse across the manufacturing floor; climb onto and off trucks and forklifts; ascend/descend stairs; and comfortably sit, walk, climb, stoop, and kneel.
