Position Summary
The Truck Driver is responsible for making bulk deliveries and pickups with a primary focus on transporting hazardous bulk chemicals/materials to Jessup, GA approximately 2–3 times per week, including weekends and holidays. This position requires overnight stays and strict compliance with all DOT and company safety regulations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely transport hazardous bulk chemicals/materials to designated locations
- Complete bulk deliveries and pickups in a timely and efficient manner
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (E-Logs) and transportation records
- Follow DOT regulations, company procedures, and safety guidelines
- Identify and report safety hazards, near misses, and maintenance concerns immediately
- Properly utilize required PPE at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers
- Maintain professionalism while working independently with minimal supervision
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of bulk tanker driving experience
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Valid Class A CDL
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Hazmat Certification
- Tanker Endorsement
Additional Requirements
- Must pass DOT physical annually
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
