Job Title:             Treasury Manager

Reports to:         Chief Financial Officer

Location:             On-site at our office in Antigo, WI; Wausau, WI; or Idaho Falls, ID

Job Summary

The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing A/R & A/P teams, implementing best practices, risk mitigation and compliance, and provides leadership to staff members. 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership, setting a positive example and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Manages and develops the team, providing feedback, coaching, and guidance to support their growth and success.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for driving our Treasury Initiative forward aimed at evolving our operations to a best-in-class Treasury Organization.
  • Along with leading change initiatives, the Treasury Manager will also be involved in cash management, cash forecasting, and managing the dept portfolio and compliance.
  • The Treasury Manager executes all projects and programs expeditiously.
  • Recommends and implements improvements to current treasury processes.
  • Manage the Treasury Technology ecosystem.
  • Lead the team on implementation of new modules or upgrades, including increased utilization and best practices.
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures in day-to-day conduct and supervision of cash management activities. 
  • Assists in managing and maintaining company’s banking infrastructure, including bank and brokerage relationships, bank services and fee analysis, signors, and account/bank rationalization efforts.
  • Serves as a backup to borrowing and investing activities.
  • Supports treasury and cash management operations and helps develop strategies to maximize efficiencies, safeguard assets and minimize costs.
  • Identifies cost-saving and profit maximizing opportunities related to treasury.
  • Understands and manages appropriate procedures and processes around month-end and quarter-close activity.
  • Provides financial analysis and project status updates to executive management.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and build strategically while maintaining willingness to and ability to execute in a hands-on way.

Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles normally acquired by the completion of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred 
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office. Hands on experience with ERP’s, Microsoft D365, FinOps, SSRS Reporting, Power BI and/or SQL Coding.
  • Hands on experience with financial analysis, forecasting and treasury management.
  • Experience with treasury automation.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to lift and carry objects up to 15lbs of various weights such as office supplies.
  • Proficiency in using hands, fingers, and arms for tasks such as typing and writing.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to read company documents.
  • Ability to hear and understand verbal communication.
  • Endurance to withstand duties that involve repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, especially for office-based roles. 
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and reach low or high objects.
  • Safety Compliance: Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and wear protective gear as required by the job.

Travel Requirements 

This position requires occasional overnight travel and/or occasional travel during the workday.   

Driver Qualification

The ability to drive a company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle on behalf of the company is preferred. 

Inclusion in the company’s driver qualification program is required to drive a company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle. 

 Becoming a qualified driver includes:

  • Agree to the company driving policies that apply to company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle as applicable.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver license and be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record, as evidenced by completion of a baseline motor vehicle record check and ongoing monitoring.
  • When driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the company, must provide a copy of the declaration page from personal auto insurance that shows the policy dates and minimum coverage amounts ($300,000 bodily injury per accident/$100,000 property damage per accident or if driving less than 5 hours/200 miles a year $50,000 bodily injury per accident/$10,000 property damage per accident or the state minimum, whichever is more). This requirement is initially and then annually thereafter.
