Traveling Mechanical & Electrical Assembler

FlexTrades is seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical Assemblers for manufacturing projects across the United States. We are looking for skilled professionals with at least 5 years of consistent assembly experience in industrial, manufacturing, aerospace, automation, or heavy equipment environments.

All work is performed in clean, indoor production facilities.

Pay & Schedule

• $28-$31 per hour
• 50+ hours per week
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half
• Strong weekly earning potential

Travel & Benefits

• Company-paid travel to and from assignments
• Company-provided lodging (private hotel room)
• $45/day per diem

This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, reading blueprints, assembling complex equipment, and traveling to support manufacturing projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to blueprints and work instructions
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly documentation
• Install and connect wiring, sensors, motors, control panels, and mechanical components
• Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and adjustment of equipment
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain quality standards and meet production goals
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of consistent mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience assembling machinery, automation equipment, industrial equipment, or production systems preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working overtime and traveling for project-based assignments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance available when needed
