This is a 100% traveling position.

Nordic Solutions is seekinghighly skilled CNC Machinistsfor traveling contract assignments across the U.S.
Pay:$40/hour and up (based on experience)
Per Diem:$125–$180/day (location dependent)
Travel Experience:Preferred, but not required
Contract Length:Typically 6 months+, with some shorter or longer engagements
Do you have 5+ years of recent, verifiable experiencein one or more of the following?

5-Axis Mill-Turnmachines
Dual-spindle, dual-turret latheswith live tooling
ID/OD Grinding
Centerless Grinding
Swiss Lathes
All roles require the ability to independently:
Write complete programs usingCAD/CAM platformsand at the machine control
Performfull machine setups, often with limited or no work instructions
Design, build, and gauge tooling
Calculate, enter, and adjust offsets using probes, edge finders, etc.
Edit, debug, and prove out programs at the control
Safely machineone-off and low-volume partsin high-alloy steels, tool steels, and exotic materials
Work confidently with multiple controls, including:
Heidenhain
MAPPS
Mazatrol
Mitsubishi
Tosnuc
Conversational controls
You should possessadvanced inspection capabilities, including experience with:
Full layout inspections
Digital and analog height gages
Optical comparators and vision systems
Profile tracers
Manual, portable, and bridge-style CMMs
Sine plates, sine bars, and standard precision inspection equipment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential to resolving quality and production issues.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of shop personnel
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and urgent production needs
Strong attendance and consistent performance throughout the contract
Ability to workany shift, including 2nd, 3rd, weekends, and overtime

Daily Per Diem:$125–$180
Overtime:Typically 10–25 hours/week (based on client needs)
Mileage Reimbursement:$0.70/mile to the client site (paid on first paycheck)
