Pioneer Desert Manufacturing is hiring a Traveling Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment at customer facilities throughout the United States.
Candidates can live anywhere in the U.S. No relocation or daily commute to our Austin office is required. This is hands-on work at customer sites, not a work-from-home position.
Expect approximately 75% travel, typically leaving Monday and returning Friday, with most weekends at home. Work is primarily first shift, with occasional overtime or weekend assignments. Company-paid airfare, hotels, rental vehicles, and a $65 daily meal allowance are provided while traveling.
You'll diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, replace components, perform preventive maintenance, document service visits, and train customer operators.
We're looking for at least three years of industrial maintenance or field service experience. You should be comfortable reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting motors, sensors, conveyors, and pneumatic systems. PLC troubleshooting experience is preferred; programming is not required. A valid driver's license is required for travel between sites.
Pay is $35–$45 per hour depending on experience.This is a field role: the work happens at customer and job sites across the U.S., and you can live anywhere in the country. Expect overnight travel during the week, with most weekends at home.
