Job Title: CNC Set‑Up Machinist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Set‑Up Machinist for a full-time contract role. The successful candidate will set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) including fixtures, tooling, and program loading.
Verify machine settings and perform first-piece inspections.
Monitor operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
Document production data and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
1–5 years of CNC setup and operation experience.
Proficiency with CNC controls (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Okuma).
Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, geometry).
Knowledge of G-code and GD&T principles.
