Job Title: CNC Set‑Up Machinist

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Set‑Up Machinist for a full-time contract role. The successful candidate will set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency across all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) including fixtures, tooling, and program loading.
- Verify machine settings and perform first-piece inspections.
- Monitor operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
- Document production data and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 1–5 years of CNC setup and operation experience.
- Proficiency with CNC controls (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Okuma).
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, geometry).
- Knowledge of G-code and GD&T principles.
