Job Title: CNC Set‑Up Machinist

Employment Type: Full-Time (Contract)

Contract Duration: 3 to 12 months

Shifts Available: All shifts (Day, Night, Weekend)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Set‑Up Machinist for a full-time contract role. The successful candidate will set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) including fixtures, tooling, and program loading.
• Verify machine settings and perform first-piece inspections.
• Monitor operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Document production data and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 1–5 years of CNC setup and operation experience.
• Proficiency with CNC controls (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Okuma).
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, geometry).
• Knowledge of G-code and GD&T principles.
