Position Title: Traveling CNC Machinist

Pay Rate: $38-$46 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available

Travel: 100% Travel Required

Housing: Company-Paid Housing

Per Diem: $45/Day

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Traveling CNC Machinists to support manufacturing and production facilities throughout the United States. This role is ideal for highly skilled machinists who are comfortable traveling for project-based assignments and have extensive experience with CNC setup, operation, troubleshooting, and precision machining.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, and multi-axis equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
• Load programs, perform tool changes, set offsets, and make machine adjustments.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Verify parts meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow all company and customer safety procedures.
• Travel to customer locations nationwide and support production needs as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Siemens, or similar controls preferred.
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
• Ability to use precision measurement equipment accurately.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
