We are seeking a skilled and adventurous Travel Welder to join our dynamic team in Louisville, KY. As a Travel Welder, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality welding services across various locations, ensuring that our clients receive top-notch craftsmanship and support.

-Travel Pay and Per Diem are involved

-Travel is about 30-35% of your year

-Any time you are not on the road you will be working in shop.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding tasks on-site at various locations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute precise welding operations.
  • Utilize various welding techniques
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Travel to different job sites as required, often with short notice, while maintaining a flexible schedule.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training in welding preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a variety of settings.
  • Proficient in multiple welding techniques
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to different work environments.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

You should be proficient in:

  • Troubleshooting Skills
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
  • Welding Setups for Production
  • Blueprint Reading
