Position Title: Travel Industrial Painter
Pay Rate: $32.00 per Hour + Overtime, Per Diem & Company-Paid Lodging
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Travel Industrial Painters to support industrial, manufacturing, refinery, power generation, and structural steel projects across the United States. Candidates must have experience with surface preparation, industrial coatings, spray application, and maintaining quality standards in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces using grinding, sanding, wire brushing, masking, and cleaning methods.
- Apply primers, epoxies, urethanes, enamels, and industrial coatings.
- Operate airless and conventional spray equipment.
- Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect finished surfaces for coverage, quality, and proper coating thickness.
- Follow coating specifications, work instructions, and safety procedures.
- Maintain paint equipment and work areas.
- Work safely in industrial environments, including elevated heights and confined spaces when required.
- Meet project schedules and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of industrial painting experience.
- Experience with spray painting structural steel, tanks, vessels, piping, heavy equipment, or fabricated parts.
- Knowledge of industrial coatings and surface preparation.
- Ability to read tape measures and work instructions.
- Willingness to travel nationwide for project assignments.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Sandblasting/Abrasive Blasting
- Refinery or petrochemical experience
- Shipyard or marine coating experience
- Structural steel fabrication experience
- SSPC/NACE certifications
- Forklift or aerial lift certifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Able to wear respirators and required PPE.
Compensation & Benefits
