Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Flux Welder to join our dynamic team in Louisville, KY. As a Travel Flux Welder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our welding projects. If you have a passion for welding and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you!

Travel is a portion of this opportuinity and typically comes to about 30% of your year. Any time you are not on the road you are working in shop.

Some mechanical skills are needed in this role.

All travel costs are covered, road pay is given, and per diem is involved.

Responsibilities

  • Perform flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) on various materials
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
  • Inspect welds for quality and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and high-quality results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance welding skills and techniques.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a flux welder or in a similar welding position.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project requirements.
