Travel Contract Run Up Technician (Test Technician)

Now Hiring: Run Up Technician

Join our team testing and troubleshooting completed HVAC/data center chiller units before final shipment. This hands-on role focuses on performing electrical, mechanical, and HVAC testing to ensure equipment operates safely and meets quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform final testing, troubleshooting, and repair of completed chiller units
• Conduct Hi-Pot, Megger, dry-run, energized, and performance testing
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
• Replace components and make adjustments based on test results
• Work with fans, compressors, sensors, PLCs, relays, transformers, pumps, and control systems
• Document test results, defects, and corrective actions
• Follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout practices

Qualifications:

• EPA 608 Type II, Type III, or Universal Certification required
• Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical testing, or industrial maintenance
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and amp clamps
• Comfortable working around energized equipment and troubleshooting complex systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Preferred:

• Previous HVAC/chiller testing experience
• Hi-Pot testing experience
• Data center cooling or industrial equipment experience
