Position Purpose:Food and food service delivery Drivers play a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are also the face of our company—building lasting relationships with our customers. As a Transportation Payroll Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely driver payroll processing while supporting the transportation team through detailed recordkeeping, reporting, and administrative functions.
Primary Responsibilities:The Transportation Payroll Clerk supports the transportation team by processing and maintaining accurate driver payroll records, verifying payroll data, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze payroll data, maintain reports, and support daily transportation operations. Communicates and interacts with drivers, supervisors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:- Process, verify, and maintain accurate driver payroll data, including hours worked, mileage, stop pay, and other applicable compensation.
- Audit payroll information to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies before payroll processing deadlines.
- Create, maintain, and analyze payroll reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with driver payroll inquiries and research payroll discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Transportation leadership and payroll to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Perform administrative duties including data entry, filing, report preparation, and document management.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
1+ year of payroll, administrative, transportation, or accounting support experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting/filtering, and spreadsheet management.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong computer data entry and basic mathematical skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience processing payroll in a transportation, logistics, warehouse, or distribution environment.
Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), payroll systems, or ERP software.
Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
