Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring an experienced Transit Facilities Lead for our Canada West operations with a broad background in Rail/Transit Infrastructure development and the ability to execute Transportation projects on behalf of owners and constructors. Our Rail & Transit portfolio in Canada includes transit station design, station upgrades, rail depot design and bus depot design. Aside from execution of existing facility projects across Canada, you will be responsible for leveraging your experience to explore new markets and expand our existing business by supporting and/or leading pursuits, identifying skill gaps and solutions to enter new markets, and working with the existing architecture organization to deliver the projects.

Reporting to the Rail & Transit Area Manager – Canada West, your key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all phases of transit facility projects, managing multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients as project manager or architectural lead for transit facility projects, maintaining relationships and addressing feedback.
  • Identify and support facilities opportunities pursuits in Western Canada, including Maintenance and Storage Facilities, Zero Emission Bus facilities, and transit stations.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and implement best practices in architectural design
  • Support Zero Emission Bus pursuits.
  • Identify skill gaps in existing team with specific attention to BIM capabilities
  • Building a team and mentoring staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience
  • 20+ years of related work experience, including significant experience in delivering transit/transportation facilities
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience with managing and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex transit projects from prelim/feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
  • Experienced with Design-Build and alternative project delivery models.
  • Proven leadership and business development capabilities with experience responding to proposals.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microstation)
