Transformation Program Manager-CHVAC Americas

Carrier’s Commercial HVAC business is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead the transformation and change management effort for our North America service business. This individual will oversee the fulfillment of long-term organizational goals and work closely with internal stakeholders on initiatives that will drive growth within the business. This is a high visibility role that has regular engagement with executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function as a program manager to support CHVAC Americas service leaders in the execution and sustainment of the transformation program

  • Oversee execution of transformation program roadmap to outline strategy, objectives and project alignment; oversee dependent projects that are needed to reach the program's goals

  • Actively drive sustainment of the program, monitor market and overall business performance and drive interventions when needed

  • Capture next level initiatives to drive further growth and operational performance improvements; seek out continuous improvement opportunities for incorporation into the program

  • Plan, scope, and execute various growth initiatives and drive change management and sustainability

  • Optimize and expand the scope of key transformational program tools, including digital platforms, playbooks, operational cadence, etc.

  • Align internal stakeholders and channel partners to support our growth objectives

Specific objectives include

  • Ensure consistency in the operating cadence, program methodology and results across all markets within CHVAC Americas field service business

  • Identify needs and support local market teams with execution where needed

  • Coordinate activities between 3rd parties and multiple project elements, giving detailed attention to program strategy, project management and execution

  • Provide program leadership to individual sub-projects, ensuring thorough planning, scope definition and execution

  • Manage and communicate project status including milestones, risks, and action items to drive completion in a timely manner (on-time, in-budget)

  • Work with internal teams on project execution and seek opportunities to improve team efficiency

  • Remove obstacles and escalation when necessary to ensure projects stay on track to committed timeline and objectives

  • Support impact analysis and assess change readiness; implement actions when/where required

  • Ensure dependent projects have well-defined business cases/return expectations and methods to track results over time

  • Contribute to and capture program-level reporting and presentation materials

  • Develop and deliver presentations to leadership and key stakeholders

  • Consider effective transfer and application of process and tools for use in multiple business segments

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants and/or partners as required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Program or Project Management or Operations or Finance or Business Transformation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in operations, business, finance, or related fields

  • 10+ years of experience supporting high impact, cross-functional projects

  • Proven ability to manage various project types, including digital technology, service sales & service operations

  • Working knowledge of practical project management methodologies, best practices and tools including passport and agile

  • Experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle

  • Project management certification and/or training

  • Proven ability to complete projects on-time, within budget, with desired results

  • Ability to manage customer and partner resources and expectations

  • Critical thinker with strong attention to detail

  • Strive for continuous improvement and prioritize time management

  • Effective management and influence of non-direct reporting resources

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Effective use of MSOffice tools, PowerPoint, Excel, and project collaboration tools

  • Consulting experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of HVAC and service industries are a plus

  • Effective project management skills

  • Ability to link a series of projects into a cohesive program

  • Superior problem-solving skills and resourcefulness

  • Ability to organize and conduct events and workshops with cross-functional teams

  • Storytelling and communication appropriate to various levels of the organization

  • Cross-functional and cross-cultural engagements

  • Ownership and superior ability to align across matrixed stakeholders and drive results

  • Demonstrated capability to successfully pivot between functional topics (including, sales, operations, service, factory)

Pay Range:

$109,456 - $191,938 Annually
