Job Overview:

Description

The Training & Technical Support Advisor supports HVAC contractors and internal staff with troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally, the Training & Technical Support Advisor trains internal staff and customers and supports the warranty process.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide support to customers through technical competence and analysis
  • Effectively and concisely communicate with customers with a variety of technical aptitude
  • Troubleshoot technical issues ranging from simple to complex with technicians via phone, email, text, and in-person
  • Effectively communicate technical issues and results to colleagues, members of management and vendors
  • Conduct worksite visits for training and technical assistance
  • Log issues accurately and timely and provide follow-up as needed
  • Evaluate warranty product for vendor returns and repair of damaged or recalled equipment
  • Work with the Design Engineer team to create and read wiring diagrams for system layouts
  • Evaluate labor requests from customers
  • Conduct training sessions for both internal staff and customers on equipment lines
  • Maintain outstanding levels of customer service
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of related HVAC experience in a technical capacity is required
  • Experience in preventative maintenance, installation, or repair of heating, ventilating or air conditioning systems required
  • Degree in the HVAC industry preferred, but not required
  • Hydronics knowledge and background preferred
  • Instructional or training experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Exceptional listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people and difficult situations in a positive and open-minded manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think critically and logically under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
