Training Coordinator

FLSA Classification: Salary Exempt


1 REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Director of Human Recourses and Safety .

2 PURPOSE

2.1 Function

2.1.1 will organize, facilitate, and deliver training programs for front-line representative employees including clerical, supervisory, technical, and lower-level management staff.

2.2 Authority

2.2.1 Ensures delivery of trainings as directed. 

 3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 Plans, organizes, develops, and effectively conducts employee training on various skills, policies, and compliance topics;

3.2 Researches and identifies areas in which training is required and/or beneficial;

3.3 Evaluates and modifies existing or proposed programs; suggests and implements suitable changes;

3.4 Designs, drafts, and/or acquires new training materials;

3.5 Collaborates with outside consultants and training providers to deliver training;

3.6 Administers, scores, and logs results of qualification, learning assessment, and retention tests; arranges retraining or other appropriate action for insufficient scores;

3.7 Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; and performing other related tasks;

3.8 Leads the creation and implementation of the annual Talent and Development Plan, aligning initiatives with organizational goals to foster employee growth, engagement, and performance excellence.

3.9 Assists with basic Human Resources functions, including but not limited to onboarding support, employee coaching and development, performance documentation, and tracking training compliance.

3.10 Maintains confidentiality and security of employee records; ensures access is limited to authorized personnel and retention is in compliance with recordkeeping requirements;

3.11 Other duties as assigned.

4.5 Successful annual performance reviews.

5 SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility. 

6 WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional environment, as well as a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role also is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

7 QUALIFICATIONS

7.1 Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

7.2 Strong presentation skills;

7.3 Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods;

7.4 Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives;

7.5 Ability to lead effective training and development;

7.6 Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience;

7.7 One to three years of experience leading employee training;

7.8 Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

8 PHYSICAL DEMAND

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

8.1 This position requires the incumbent to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally and regularly requires walking, sitting, talking, and using hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee may occasionally lift, unassisted, up to 32 pounds. The employee will be required to use a computer for extended periods of time and talk. Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

9 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position may require extended hours and possible weekend work.

10 TRAVEL

Travel to JCSNA worksites are required when needed.
