The focus of this position is to assist department leadership with supporting training needs and filling opening(s) to the line due to attendance gaps. The individual will also assist with completing training documentation.
Essential Duties:
- Demonstrated ability to follow all production safety and quality procedures.
- Have been signed off of 80% (typically 8-10 jobs) or more of the jobs within your team (sign off on work instructions & training matrix).
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. repetitively during your shift.
- Work priorities given by the Production Supervisor or Team Leader, to include but not limited to: ensuring job work instructions are being followed, training operators to company safety and quality standards, and filling in the production line.
- Assist line personnel in resolving on-the-job technical issues within your assigned team or line.
- Inspect, coordinate and record work performed by operators (repairs).
- Support team lead and supervisor by maintaining 5S and Standard Work documentation.
- Refer employee relations issues to the team leader for appropriate action
- Must have no write-up(s) greater than a verbal for any reason.
- Use effective teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills to promote positive group operations and relationships.
- Continued learning of other jobs is a requirement of the position within your designated line (evidence with training matrix & work instruction sign off).
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum of high school education/GED, plus experience working on the production line with a satisfactory work history; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills are required
- A demonstrated willingness for continual learning and skill development is required
- Desired personal computer skills include, but not limited to: MS Office software applications.
- Previous experience in an assembly operator position using hand, air and/or power tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be detailed/quality oriented; able to read and follow technical documentation, standard work instructions.
- Must be safety oriented.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
