Shop Trailer Mechanic – $20–$24/hr Depending on Experience

Express Employment Professionals on Elm Hill Pike is hiring an experiencedShop Trailer Mechanicfor a full-time position in Nashville.

This is a dedicated, on-site shop position. There areno roadside or emergency repair calls.

Job Duties

• Perform certified DOT inspections
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections
• Diagnose and repair trailer equipment and systems
• Repair brake chambers, liftgates, panels, body, and framework
• Perform welding and fabrication
• Use hand tools, welding equipment, lifts, jacks, and diagnostic tools
• Assist senior technicians with more advanced repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements

• At least two years of trailer, or medium-duty / heavy-duty repair experience
• Must provide your own basic hand tools
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and perform physical work throughout the shift
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Pay and Schedule

• $20–$24 per hour, depending on experience
• Monday through Friday
• Day shift
• Eight-hour shifts
• No nights
• No weekends
