WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As a Tower Services Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our telecommunications infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining and repairing towers and related equipment to keep systems operating at peak performance.

  • Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on towers, antennas, transmission lines, and associated hardware.
  • Inspect and service tower lighting systems, replacing defective components promptly.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and RF system issues using specialized test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, power meters).
  • Maintain proper grounding, wiring, and corrosion control to ensure structural and electrical integrity.
  • Respond to service calls and emergency repairs to restore network functionality quickly.
  • Conduct routine inspections for structural integrity, corrosion, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Communicate job progress, challenges, and recommendations to supervisors and team members.
  • Adhere to OSHA and industry safety protocols at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
  • Ability to travel to various work locations statewide.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSHA 10/30 certifications preferred.
  • Ability to remain alert and work safely in all conditions.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, and successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.

 

YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. 

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.

 

On-call for critical systems maintenance may be required. First shift hours Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends depending on project schedules.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Statewide travel to job sites is required to support company and customer needs. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.
