Toolmaker / Machinist – 1st Shift (4-Day Workweek)
📍 Cedarburg, WI
ATACO Steel Products Corp is hiring an experienced Toolmaker / Machinist to support our metal stamping operations. This role focuses on building, repairing, and maintaining stamping dies, fixtures, and tooling to keep production running efficiently.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 4:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Enjoy a 3-day weekend most weeks with occasional Friday overtime.
What You’ll Do
• Build, repair, and maintain stamping dies, fixtures, and tooling
• Perform die maintenance and troubleshooting during production changeovers
• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and manual machining equipment
• Machine and fit tooling components to precise tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications
• Work with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance
• Maintain records of tooling repairs and modifications
What We’re Looking For
• Completion of a Tool & Die or Toolmaker apprenticeship
• 7+ years of experience in a metal stamping or toolmaking environment
• Strong knowledge of precision machining, blueprint reading, and GD&T
• Experience operating CNC mills and manual machine tools
• Ability to troubleshoot tooling and die issues independently
