Job Description

LidWorks is seeking a Tooling Technician to join our Engineering Team.

Duties:

• Assesses tooling setup sheets, as well as tooling components to complete installation.
• Evaluate die set and production line prior to installation and startup or machine.
• Completes tool installations and equipment adjustments to all production lines including line assessment/evaluation and debugging prior to or at scheduled production startup.
• Properly tooling adjustment per specifications.
• Performs tooling installation assessment/signoff.
• Supports Production during post tool change production line startups, running product according to quality specifications and completing the Tool Change Acceptance sheet.
• Performs general tooling maintenance, tooling assembly setups (inspection, measurements, general condition)
• Performs parts inventory maintenance (wear parts/nuts/bolts/shop supplies).
• Performs off shift tooling support/monitoring/security.
• Interacts with Engineering Personnel for tooling reviews, evaluation, documentation, and improvements.

• Ensure proper cleanliness and operating condition of both the machine shop and tool room.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.  

• Basic computer skills such as email, word, excel are required.

• Trade school for Tool & Die OR Machine Tool Technology preferred.
• Experience with measuring tools (calipers/micrometers, etc.) required.
• Experience with T/F tooling a plus.
• Machine shop experience a plus.
