Follow all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations while performing duties.
Troubleshoot and repair stamping dies both in the press and within the toolroom.
Analyze specifications and layout metal stock for tooling repairs or modifications.
Set up and operate machine tools to repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
Assemble and fit parts using machines and hand tools to build, repair, or modify tooling.
Perform welding operations (TIG/MIG) when repairing or rebuilding tool steel components.
Spot and polish die details to ensure proper nesting of parts and reduce wear on high-contact surfaces.
Verify dimensions, alignments, and tolerances using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
Interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, sketches, and models.
Maintain effective communication with production and maintenance teams.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Journeyman Tool and Die certification preferred.
Minimum four years of related experience or completion of an approved trade school program.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings including GD&T.
Experience using precision measurement tools and machinist equipment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and equipment.
Frequently lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts and stamping equipment.
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical equipment.
Noise levels may be high; hearing protection is required and provided.
Safety glasses are required and provided.
Steel-toe safety shoes or boots are required.
