At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated base pay for this position is $36.990-$36,230. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.
Join Our Team as a Tool Room Coordinator!
The Tool Room Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Tool Room by managing administrative tasks efficiently. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Coordinate various administrative duties for the Tool Room, including organizing documentation, scheduling, maintaining cleaning schedules, updating departmental calendars, and -managing supplier/vendor information.
-Schedule and host meetings with tooling supplier/vendor representatives, handle visitor passes, reserve meeting rooms, and follow up with representatives post-meetings.
-Coordinate the paperwork for MERs, PSRs, and C.I. tickets. This includes updating information, creating Job Order numbers, coordinating with the Design team for tooling approval, assigning and completing PSRs, managing Limble requests, and distributing C.I. tickets for prompt task completion.
-Count, log, and update inventory records, manage AML inventory, set up Min/Max levels, and coordinate with suppliers for inventory replenishment.
-Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on the Tool Shop Communication Board, calculate Tool Shop Metrics, and prepare reports for management.
-Generate purchase orders in Oracle to acquire necessary supplies, equipment, and services. Work with suppliers to ensure orders are received in a timely manner.
-Support in finalizing and arranging various order requests, including tasks such as coordinating heat treating, managing Model Shop Job orders, assigning routings, tracking work hours, and ensuring thorough documentation of standardized processes.
-Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.

What you’ll Need To Succeed:
-Highschool diploma or equivalent
-Basic knowledge of inventory management and enterprise resource planning systems.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal departments and external vendors.
-Ability to compile data and generate meaningful reports.
-Possess a proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
-Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
-Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to complete activities with accuracy.
-Proficient in the use of MS Office tools (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred:
-Associate degree in Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
-2+ years of experience in an administrative support role within a manufacturing environment.
-Familiarity with Oracle ERP
Physical demands:
Sitting: Continuously required to remain in a stationary position and perform desk-based tasks for hours at a time.
Lifting: Occasionally required to solo lift supplies weighing from 5 to 20 pounds and some operation of hand carts.
Walking: Occasionally required to walk moderate distances.
Communication: Continuously required to talk and hear or otherwise, in person and by phone/conference calls
Observation: Frequently required to observe details at close range including depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to differentiate between colors.
Travel: Occasionally required to travel overnight, domestically and internationally, and work extended hours when necessary
