Summary of Responsibilities 

The Tool Pusher is responsible for overseeing the erections, dismantling and transportation of drilling rigs from site to site. While each member of the crew has their specific job duties, the pusher is there to oversee and follow up on orders, monitor procedures involving borehole and mud circulating and mixing. He/She must ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations along with specific details originated from the customer.  Tool Pushers can work up to 24 hours shifts.  Schedules will consist of fourteen days on and fourteen days off; working both days and nights.  Tool Pushers are expected to represent his/her self and Noble Drilling in a good manner.  Tool Pushers should always follow the correct chain of command and report all safety problems or violations immediately. 



Primary Responsibilities (Not listed in relation to their priority) 

  1. Provide the crew with safety supplies 
  2. Oversee crew to insure safety and productivity 
  3. Oversee all drilling operations at all times 
  4. Make sure equipment is being serviced properly 
  5. Make sure reports are done in timely manner and sent to office 
  6. Take care of the weekly payroll 
  7. Make sure all crew houses are being taken care of properly 
  8. Enforce the processes and procedures and determine the best corrective action course if these are broken 
  9. Motivate and mentor all crew members in a positive way 



Requirements

 Experience Requirements 

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience.  
  • Must successfully complete Noble Drilling’s industry specific training and orientation 

Education Requirements 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 

Special Requirements 

  • 18 years or older 
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Average Shift:  24 hour work days  
  • Rotation: fourteen day on fourteen days off 

Travel Requirements Travel to rig location before tower begins.

Reasoning Ability  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
