Job Overview:
In this position, the Tool Maker III must be capable of doing engine lathe and milling machine operations for
all phases of work performed. This occupation requires planning and performing all bench and machine
operations (including experimental work) involving the highest degree of specialized skill and knowledge of tool
building practice to construct, alter, and assemble.
Duties:
Builds, restores, and services a variety of tooling used in fabrication of rubber or metal parts on assemblies
and generally, works from part of assembly drawings or sketches
Utilizes all machines such as engine lathes, milling machines, machinist’s hand tools, precision measuring
instruments and shop mathematics including trigonometry.
Produce production parts per specifications and instructions or blueprints and operations sheets.
Perform in quality and productivity to established standards.
Must do production runs and tooling details as required and other duties as assigned.
