SUMMARY
Responsibility for machining, fitting, assembling, and finishing to make and repair molds.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Benching & spotting of aluminum and steel prototype & production molds
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble molds with minimal supervision
- Assemble molds in accordance with tool designs and accepted procedures.
- Build and/or repair injection molds in accordance with mold designs and accepted procedures.
- Perform quality checks as required by our standards and procedures.
- Make changes as necessary to the tool.
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications on injection molds.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be experienced in Blueprint reading, interpretation, and GD&T
- Ability to perform calculations and conduct moderate analysis
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing bridgeports, lathes, radial drills, surface grinders, etc. Experience using hand tools is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work requires walking, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
