Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tool & Die Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our tool and die department, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the tool and die team to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Oversee the design, fabrication, and maintenance of tools, dies, and fixtures.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality standards within the department.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool designs and processes.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of tools and dies to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics and tool maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in tool and die making preferred.
  • Proven experience in tool and die manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and engineering principles.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software and other relevant tools.

  • Troubleshooting Skills
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Manual Machining Skills
  • Tool/Die/Mold Repair Skills
  • Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience
