Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Tool & Die Repair Technician for an automotive stamping facility in Detroit.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain stamping dies
• Perform in-press die repairs and adjustments
• Troubleshoot die and tooling issues
• Perform preventive maintenance on dies
• Grind, weld, fit, and repair tooling
• Assist with die tryouts and production issues
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Work with production and tool room teams to keep presses running

Requirements:

• Previous tool and die repair experience
• Automotive stamping experience preferred
• Experience working with large stamping dies
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Welding and grinding experience
• Experience performing in-press repairs
• Class A die experience is a plus
• Must be comfortable working in a production stamping environment

Pay: $40/hour
