Job Description

We're looking for a true all-around machinist for RSA Rochester (Integrity Tool) in Ontario, NY — someone who can take a part from print to finished product on their own. You'll read the drawing, pick the tooling and workholding, write or edit the program, dial in the set-up, and run it. This is a hands-on, high-trust role for an experienced tool & die maker or CNC machinist who likes owning a job start to finish and keeping more than one spindle busy.

Responsibilities

• •Take parts from drawing to finished product — plan the job, program, set up, and run it
• •Write and edit CNC programs at the control and/or in CAM (Mastercam or similar)
• •Complete your own set-ups on CNC mills and lathes with minimal supervision
• •Run multiple machines at once, keeping spindles cutting while you set up the next job
• •Choose tooling, workholding, fixturing, speeds, and feeds for the job
• •Build, repair, and modify tooling, fixtures, dies, and gauges
• •Hold close tolerances and verify your own work with mics, calipers, indicators, and gauges
• •Troubleshoot at the machine — chatter, tool life, finish, and dimensional issues
• •Help train apprentices and share what you know with the crew

What We're Looking For

• •5+ years of CNC machining and/or tool & die experience
• •Able to work independently from a print — blueprint reading and GD&T
• •Programming ability: conversational, G-code at the control, or CAM (Mastercam a plus)
• •Strong set-up skills on mills and lathes; wire EDM or grinding a plus
• •Comfortable holding +/- 0.001" and tighter
• •Proven ability to run multiple machines at the same time
• •Reliable, safety-focused, and takes pride in the work

• Manual Machining Skills

• CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Haas, Hurco)
