Job Overview:
Aegis is currently partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the northern suburbs looking to identify a Tool & Die Maker to join their team.

Responsibilities:
- Building, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying progressive, compound, and secondary dies
- Setting up and operating manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and other tool room machines to make adjustments for production to run smoothly
- Diagnosing die issues, performing preventive maintenance and repairs, executing tooling changeovers, and supporting production by responding to press and die problems as they arise.
Requirements:
5+ years of tool and die/manual machining experience
Experience making modifications, troubleshooting and repairing existing tools and dies versus just machining new ones
Comfortable working around progressive, compound and secondary dies ideally in a metal stamping environment
Proficient in interpreting blueprints and reading tolerances
Exposure setting up and operating CNC and Wire EDM machines is a plus
