Job Overview:

**Tool & Die Maker

  • **Elkton, MI.

90-day Contract-to-Direct position

Pay Rate: $34.02 per hour + Shift Premium ($0.60 for 2nd Shift and $0.75 for 3rd Shift)**Available Shifts :

**First Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday (plant runs 7-days per week, so weekend work required as needed)

Second Shift: 3:00pm - 12:00am Monday-Friday (plant runs 7-days per week, so weekend work required as needed)

Third Shift: 10:30pm - 7:30am Monday-Friday (plant runs 7-days per week, so weekend work required as needed)**Responsibilities of the Tool & Die Maker:

**

  • Plan setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of materials, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants, and machine tool feeds and speeds
  • Weld repair and heat treatment of different materials including tool steels
  • Determine specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gaging tools, performing required inspection before, during, and after machining
  • Perform hand operations involved in production jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies
  • Fit and assembles jigs, tools and dies, Set ups, runs off and tests dies to produce a product to specifications, tracking die difficulties to their source and correcting same
  • Tear down, repairs, and reassembles tooling on the bench or in the press as required

**Required experience of the Tool & Die Maker:

**

  • MUST have **Journeyman Card **or **EIGHT **years of equivalent experience
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proven written and communication skills
  • Metal stamping and manufacturing experience preferred

**
