Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize measuring equipment such as mics, calipers, bore gages, etc. to confirm parts and or components meet print specifications to tolerances of +/-0.01mm.

 

  • May be required to operate all conventional manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes, surfaces grinders, cylinder grinders, drill press, etc. to modify, make, or repair parts when needed to +/- 0.01mm and select appropriate tooling and setups to achieve acceptable results.

 

  • Analyze, modify and optimize repeat jobs for maximum efficiency.

 

  • Effectively apply the PDCA process to identify potential process improvements

 

  • Perform proper repair methods including machining, hand working, and assembly of tooling components and perishable items to restore to an acceptable quality level. 

 

  • Completely adhere to all Denso Safety rules. This applies to performing work on all dies as well as daily interaction on the plant floor. 
  • Support new product development by working directly with Production Engineering to manufacture die components.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement kaizen opportunities and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain detailed logs and maintenance records.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and industry-specific standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 or more years of related die maintenance experience required
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instruction and display a high aptitude in blueprint reading, math, and mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to prioritize work when necessary to best support Production in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision or direction and make sound, experience-based decisions. 

  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices and procedures.

  • Display behavior which exhibits a positive attitude and willingness to accept change and communicate with leadership and coworkers effectively as needed.

  • Availability for shift work, weekends, or on-call support as required by production demands.

 

 

Work Environment:

  • PPE required and provided, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection in designated areas.
  • Fast-paced automotive manufacturing and testing environment.
