Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool and Die Technician to join our team in Springfield, IL. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the manufacturing process by designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision tools and dies used in production. Responsibilities

  • Design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures according to specifications.
  • Set up and operate various machining tools and equipment.
  • Inspect and test completed tools and dies to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool performance.
  • Document all processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Tool and Die Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tools.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
