Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Technician in Detroit, MI. As a Tool and Die Technician you will work with Transfer Schuler Presses and tooling in the robotic welding assembly area. If you have a passion for working with tools and dies, along with a knack for problem-solving, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on transfer Schuler press dies ranging from 80 ton to 2000 ton presses

• Troubleshoot, do tryouts, weld, grind, spot, fix cams, replace parts, etc.

• Conduct tool, die, and mold repairs to maintain production efficiency.

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand specifications and requirements.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

• Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in die repair.
• Strong tool, die, and mold repair skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
