Aegis Worldwide is partnering with a leading manufacturing client seeking an experienced Tool & Die Journeyman to join their team. This position is responsible for building, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining dies and industrial manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with progressive and single-hit dies, and the ability to maintain critical production equipment to support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain:- Single hit dies
- Draw dies
- Multiple-stage progressive dies
- Sensors and controls
- Shaker pans and slug removal systems
Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
Maintain and repair presses and material feeding equipment
Operate and maintain shop equipment including:- Mills
- Lathes
- Boring mills
- Blanchard grinders
- Surface grinders
- Drill presses
- Radial arm drills
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and tooling specifications
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling and equipment performance
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company procedures
Qualifications
- Journeyman certification in Tool & Die or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of stamping dies, presses, and industrial manufacturing equipment
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and machine shop equipment
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
