Position OverviewTaldeco is looking for experienced Tool and Die Repair professionals for opportunities in Detroit and Macomb County.These positions are focused on the repair and maintenance of automotive stamping dies. We are looking for candidates with hands-on die repair experience and a strong tool room background.ResponsibilitiesRepair and maintain automotive stamping diesDiagnose and troubleshoot die and tooling issuesPerform welding, grinding, spotting, fitting, and die adjustmentsOperate boring mills, surface grinders, and other tool room equipmentRepair and replace worn or damaged die componentsPerform preventative and corrective die maintenanceRead blueprints and tooling specificationsWork with progressive, transfer, and other automotive stamping diesQualificationsPrevious tool and die repair experienceExperience with automotive stamping dies preferredExperience with larger stamping dies is a plusStrong welding and grinding skillsExperience with boring mills, surface grinders, and other tool room equipmentAbility to read blueprints and tooling specificationsOwn tools preferredMust be open to working an off shiftCompensation$25–$40/hour, depending on experience and skill level.
