Job Overview:

Manufacturer in Saxonburg in need of Tool & Die Maker

• Pay Rate: $24.94/hr (Class B) **$29.50/hr **(Class A) Based on experience.

• Full-time-temp to hire after 60 working days

• Schedule: 6am- 2pm- Monday- Friday with Occasional Overtime on Saturdays!

Tool and Die Maker -- Class A or B

  • Must be able to make all types of dies.

  • Capable of operating all types of machines in tool and die shop within .0005 of any part of any tool.

  • Must also be able to do bench work in die assembly and personally do fitting required to make die operate efficiently.

  • Must be able to take all component parts of a tool, die or fixture and quickly diagnose what changes are

    required, where metal is to be removed, what parts require high polish and finish.

  • Ability to program, set-up, and operate CNC and related machines, create, load, and save programs per

    established procedures.

  • Perform scheduled cleaning and maintenance programs for proper machine performance.

  • Capable of instructing others in all aspects of the job. Works without supervision.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 35 pounds on occasion.

  • Must furnish tools.

Must have at least 3 years of experience and class will be assessed based on this experience.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Basic tools, plus precision measuring instruments, inspection

tools and equipment, heat treating furnace, sand blasting machine, and other tools and equipment

generally utilized in a tool and die shop.

MATERIAL: Carbon steel, tool steel, carbide and copper tungsten, electrode material, fluxes,

solder, oils, sand blasting media, emery cloth, diamond paste and other types of materials

commonly utilized in tool and die shops.

Requirements:

  • Class A or B will be dependent on years of experience in the role/experience/skill set.

  • Must have demonstrated work experience performing this role to be considered.

  • Must be reliable and dependable.

  • Must be able to pass a client specific background check, and pass a drug screen.

  • Steel toed boots required on day one.
