Job Description

One of our clients is seeking a skilled Tool and Die **Maker **to support manufacturing operations at their facility in Rochelle, IL.

Pay rate: $28/hr - $33/hr

Responsibilities:

• Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain tooling, dies, molds, and fixtures

• Perform die setups, adjustments, and preventive maintenance

• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications

• Operate tool room equipment including grinders, mills, lathes, and CNC machines

• Inspect tooling components using precision measuring instruments

• Diagnose tooling issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime

• Support production teams with tooling-related troubleshooting and repairs

• Modify and improve tooling to enhance efficiency and product quality

Qualifications:

• Journeyman certification in Tool and Die or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience in tool and die making within a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of stamping dies, molds, fixtures, and tooling systems

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience operating manual and CNC machining equipment

• Experience with progressive dies and metal stamping operations

• Basic CAD/CAM knowledge

• Welding and fabrication experience

You should be proficient in:

• Journeyman’s License
