Job Summary:
The Tool and Die Maker will be responsible for creating, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the production of high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, and maintain precision tools, dies, and fixtures.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create accurate tools and dies.
- Operate and maintain various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on tools and dies to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with tools and dies.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tool and die designs and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in tool and die making preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tool and die making.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of machining and metalworking processes.
- Experience with CAD software and CNC machinery is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
