Industrial Tire Technician

Position Overview

A well-established tire service organization is seeking a dependable Industrial Tire Technician to join its team. This position will specialize in servicing large, heavy-duty tires used on tractors, agricultural equipment, mining equipment, construction equipment, industrial machinery, and other off-road applications.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working with large commercial and industrial tires. This is a hands-on position requiring the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mount, dismount, install, repair, rotate, and service industrial and heavy-equipment tires.
  • Service tires used on tractors, agricultural machinery, mining equipment, construction equipment, loaders, and other industrial/off-road machinery.
  • Inspect tires for wear, damage, improper inflation, and other conditions that may affect safety or equipment performance.
  • Perform tire changes and repairs using appropriate tire-service equipment, tools, and procedures.
  • Work with large, heavy, and specialized tire assemblies.
  • Safely handle, move, load, and transport industrial tires and related equipment.
  • Provide on-site tire service at customer locations, including industrial, agricultural, construction, and mining operations when required.
  • Respond to field-service and emergency tire-service calls as needed.
  • Properly secure tires and equipment during transportation.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tires, tubes, tools, and service equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, service truck, and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and proper tire-handling procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, equipment operators, supervisors, and coworkers.
  • Document completed services and identify additional tire or equipment issues that may require attention.
  • Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety.
  • Perform other duties related to industrial tire service as assigned.
