TIG/GTAW Welder

Pay: $25.00–$28.00/hour

Location: Cedar Park, TX

Schedule: Monday–Saturday | 5:00 AM–2:30 PM

We are hiring an experienced TIG/GTAW Welder for a fabrication and manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on TIG welding experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and experience working with thin-gauge stainless steel and/or aluminum.

TIG/GTAW welding experience is a HARD REQUIREMENT and must be clearly shown on your resume.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform TIG/GTAW welding, fit-up, tack welding, grinding, and finishing.
• Fabricate and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
• Weld thin-gauge sheet metal and assemblies down to 20 gauge / .036" material thickness.
• Perform spot welding, stud welding, and robotic welding as needed.
• Install PEM hardware, rivet nuts, inserts, studs, and related hardware.
• Perform drilling, tapping, countersinking, and other secondary fabrication operations.
• Inspect finished welds and assemblies for quality, dimensions, and appearance.
• Complete production paperwork and work-order documentation.
• Maintain production schedules and meet established priorities.
• Follow 5S, safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine operator preventive maintenance.
• Report equipment, safety, maintenance, and quality concerns.
• Maintain welding tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Required Experience

MUST HAVE:

• Previous professional TIG/GTAW welding experience.
• TIG/GTAW experience must be listed on your resume.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Ability to perform your own fit-up, tack welding, welding, grinding, and finishing.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

• Experience welding 20-gauge / .036" material.
• Thin-gauge aluminum and/or stainless steel welding experience.
• Sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Experience with spot welding, stud welding, or robotic welding.
• Experience with PEM hardware and secondary fabrication operations.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Important

This position requires previous TIG/GTAW welding experience. Candidates without TIG/GTAW experience clearly demonstrated on their resume will not meet the minimum requirements.
